Wes Anderson speaks Italian

It’s all about family. Family and spaghetti, of course. We’re talking about new collaboration between brilliant director Wes Anderson and Italian fashion label Prada, a short film called Castello Cavalcanti. The film is set in Italy in September 1955, during the car race Tante miglia, that remembers so much the famous Italian race Millemiglia. The main character, a driver, awesome-as-always Jason Schwartzman, thanks to a car crush will be forced to stop in this small town, where he’ll discover to be part of that very place. “In a way I’m glad I crushed. It’s a warning for me, I could I got killed, you know?”

With a very clever point of view of Italian cliché, Wes Anderson flaunts his ability and his typical style to write a story about fate, roots and family, not only an usual Italian trademark, but also a fil rouge in Anderson’s filmography: The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, The Darjeeling Limited and Moonrise Kingdom.

Wes Anderson and Prada already worked together on the three-part short movie for the released of Candy fragrance.
